By downloading, installing, or using Claro ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Claro is operated by Steininger AG, Gartenstrasse 4, 6300 Zug, Switzerland.
Claro is an AI-powered sustainability scanner that helps users evaluate products across 10 environmental and ethical KPIs. The App provides sustainability scores, alternative product suggestions, and household sustainability tracking.
Sustainability scores are AI-generated estimates based on publicly available data. They are not certified environmental assessments. Scores include confidence levels and should be used as informational guides, not definitive judgments.
You must create an account to use Claro. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
Claro offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are available as monthly or annual plans, billed through Apple's App Store.
You agree not to:
All content, features, and functionality of Claro, including but not limited to the scoring methodology, AI models, design, and trademarks, are owned by Steininger AG and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Claro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Sustainability scores are informational estimates and should not be the sole basis for purchasing decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any score or recommendation.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Steininger AG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Your use of Claro is also governed by our Privacy Policy , which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with Swiss nFADP and EU GDPR.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time by contacting support@claroapp.ch.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Zug, Switzerland.
